Cai Mep General Port has been invested in and built by Thuan Hai Group since 2017, and is one of the driving projects to complete a closed supply chain through comprehensive, diverse, and flexible logistics solutions.
The Cai Mep General Port project in the future is not only a domestic goods transshipment point but also expected to become an international trade connection point, a focal point for the import and export of sea goods in the southern region. is the premise for forming a logistics infrastructure network associated with a multimodal service chain: Seaport – warehouse – transportation, bringing optimal efficiency to customers.

Established CAI MEP GENERAL PORT
Entering the seaport sector, focusing on developing the logistics segment, providing comprehensive solutions for: loading and unloading, storage, and transportation (inland waterway, road mechanization).
2018
Construction of Cai Mep General Port begins
Cai Mep general port is located in Cai Mep Industrial Park, is a key project in completing Thuan Hai's closed supply chain, with investment capital of up to 110 million USD, warehouse capacity of up to 500,000 tons, total capacity of Cargo handling capacity reaches 8.5 million tons/year.
2021
Complete phase 1
Coming into operation in the first quarter of 2021, the first phase focuses on building basic infrastructure with shipyards and barges, able to receive ships with a maximum tonnage of 10,000 DWT, loading and unloading speed of 10,000 tons. /day, warehouse capacity reaches 200,000 tons.
2025
Phase 2 construction begins
Construction of the main wharf for ships, receiving ships with a maximum tonnage of 120,000 DWT, loading and unloading speed reaching 40,000 tons/day, expanded warehouse capacity to 500,000 tons, receiving many types of goods such as sand, jelly buildings, iron and steel, structures,... becoming an important logistics center in the southern region.

With the advantage of deep water being expanded to 16.5m, the total wharf length after completion is 300m, Cai Mep Port has high exploitation efficiency, diverse types of goods.

Receiving large tonnage ships
Currently, the port owns 2 wharves, of which the main wharf No. 1 is capable of receiving ships with a tonnage of up to 120,000 DWT and is in the completion stage. Pier No. 2 has been put into operation, capable of receiving ships with a tonnage of 2000 - 5000 DWT, or barges with a tonnage of up to 10,000 DWT.

Fast loading and unloading capacity
By fully equipping specialized equipment for loading, unloading, and transporting bulk goods such as conveyor systems, excavators, grab buckets, pouring hoppers, etc., Cai Mep port is capable of releasing 4,000 tons of goods/hour, reaching a loading capacity of up to 8.5 million tons per year.

Large warehouse system
Cai Mep Port currently has 4 warehouses with a total area of up to 86,000 m2, meeting the needs of safe storage and preservation of all types of goods, including 2 covered warehouses equipped with dust filtration systems and 2 bonded warehouses. The warehouses are fully equipped with fire prevention systems, drainage ditches, and wastewater treatment in accordance with environmental protection regulations.
